A Good Run

As many of you know, we’ve been running a live show on Tuesday nights for about two years. We’ve had a lot of fun doing it, and enjoyed our time.

But it’s time to pull the plug, at least for now. We’ll still do occasional video updates and quick stuff like our earlier “Road Rebel” series. But after two years, our average viewership just hasn’t grown enough to support the effort it takes to do the show on a weekly basis. And due to our limited (non-existent) budget, we can’t afford advertising or the equipment to really do the show at the quality we’d like.

Don’t worry! We’re not going anywhere. We’ll still be here, giving our take on the news and info from the day. We just won’t be doing it live on Tuesday nights.

We truly appreciate those of you who have tuned in and participated, and hope you’ll continue to participate with us on the website and on Facebook. We really have had a great time, and who knows, we may be back… and if we are, it’ll be bigger and better than ever!

Thanks again!

Leo

Poll – Driving Under The Influence

I just spent a nice couple of days off visiting a friend in Las Vegas. St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas is a unique confluence of an excuse for drinking with the insanity that is March Madness in a betting town. The level of drinking is ramped to an unthinkable level. On the way home, I saw no less than three cars pulled over so that someone could empty their guts, more than likely a result of the previous night’s activities.

When I got home, I started catching up on my various social media accounts. Takes awhile after being relatively off-the-grid for three days. That’s when I cam across a post by our own Terry Myers, who relates the story that someone he has known for a very long time is angry with him. Why? Apparently, she was arrested – at 10:30 am this morning – on a DUI. Terry told a mutual acquaintance ’Good. Maybe she’ll learn a lesson now… and not possibly kill someone.’

This apparently has her all hacked off. She was arrested for a DUI at 10:30am on a Sunday morning, and she’s mad at him.

So, I thought I’d toss up this little poll to find out how many of our readers and viewers have had a DUI affect their lives. Have you ever had a DUI, whether your own or through that of someone else, affect your life? Let us know. We’ll reveal the results on Tuesday night’s show.

Note: Occasionally, the poll is slow to load. If so, please reload the page…

Update And New Features Coming

Well, dear readers, it’s been quiet around here for a few weeks, but with good reason. On Dec. 22nd, yours truly had a heart attack, which was followed by about two weeks of hospital time. If you’re interested, you can read about the experience at my personal blog here.

Now, I’m back, and with some newly found free time (cough) I’ll be posting more frequently here and catching you up.

In the meantime, we’ve made a few changes just to keep you on your toes.

First, you can now catch Edited For Clarity Live on justin.tv at http://www.justin.tv/EditedForClarity – You can watch it without registering, but if you register, you’ll be notified whenever we put up a live stream. We’ll also be archiving the show on YouTube, so you can watch it whenever you want! The show will still feature live chat, so be sure to chime in and let us know what you are thinking.

Another feature you’ll see soon is Adventures in Healthcare. With my recent hospitalization, I am now officially disabled, if temporarily. That means no income, and insurance has not yet kicked in at my job. So, I have applied for public assistance in a variety of forms. I’ll be relating my experiences as a single dad trying to get help in out healthcare and aid system. My hope is that this is a relatively boring series, My guess is that there will be plenty to talk about.

Keep an eye out for more announcements and updates – and we’ll see you Tuesday night at 9PM PT!
