In a fall 2010 interview with Newsweek, Rick Perry was asked if he would run for President:
… and that you have no interest in running president. Still the case?
Not going to run for president. Not going to be a vice-presidential candidate. Not going to be in anybody’s cabinet. And I suspect I’m not going to be anybody’s ambassador either.
Perry is expected to announce his candidacy on Saturday, 8/13/11, less than one year later. Given the time it takes to organize a campaign, was he telling the truth in the interview?
